Camp Tule

Camp Tule is a nature-based day camp where children are given space to nurture their creativity and spend time exploring and playing in nature. Each new day is filled with exciting discoveries like “catching” animal footprints in track boxes that the children make, spotting barn owls, egret, deer, jackrabbit, kingfisher, and red-tailed hawk, and playing lots of nature games that teach ecological concepts. Our nature-themed art projects are always a special highlight each week. And, what would an adventure day be without climbing trees? We do that, too!

At Camp Tule, we aim to foster wonder and delight in the world we live in.

Children attending Camp Tule learn about the native plants and animals of the Laguna de Santa Rosa ecosystem in a supportive, playful, and encouraging environment.

Camp Tule Staff

We hire enthusiastic youth and young adults to serve as Naturalist field instructors and Camp Counselors. Our staff include Spanish speaking adults and teens, ensuring a welcoming environment for all campers. Camp Tule also recruits youth who want to gain leadership experience by volunteering at camp as Counselors-in-Training. Naturalists, Counselors, and Counselors-in-Training round out our education department staff, along with some of our skilled, knowledgeable, and dedicated Learning Laguna docents.

Thank you to our Camp Tule Sponsors: The Fledgling Fund, Kimball Foundation and the Gordon Dow LEAP Fund.

A few notes about registration…

We acknowledge that our website is not mobile friendly, and apologize for the inconvenience. We highly recommend registering for Camp Tule on a desktop or laptop computer.

Registration requires setting up an account with Regpack. Please have your camper’s health and medical information on hand, along with the phone numbers for the emergency contacts and the names of those authorized to pick the child up from camp. The process takes approximately 15 - 20 minutes and includes completing the health and safety forms, and signing the liability and media release forms.

To apply for a scholarship, purchase the scholarship “ticket” for $50.00. By purchasing a scholarship ticket, a spot will be held for the child in the selected week. However, it does not guarantee a tuition scholarship. We will send you the registration forms and scholarship application to complete and return. Based on your responses on the scholarship application, you will either be given a scholarship for all or part of the remaining tuition balance ($300), or the option to pay for Camp in installments. If the terms of the scholarship or payment plan are not acceptable to your family, you will have the option to receive a refund of the scholarship ticket and forfeit the child’s spot.

After creating an account, you can save your progress and return to the registration process. However, a spot in the camp is only guaranteed once the registration process is complete. You have 30 minutes to check out, once you put your camp selection in the cart.

Please be aware that you will be presented with an optional Purchase Protection Plan, available for all orders for an additional fee at check-out. The Plan goes beyond our standard refund policy as stated in our parent handbook, but please know that you will be required to file your claim through Regpack directly.

If you have any questions about the process, please contact Sierra by email or phone 707.527.9277 x109.
